ABOUT THE COURSE
This training is designed to provide you with basic understanding and working knowledge of quantitative data analysis using STATA. It also covers skills of summarizing, visualizing and interpreting the data. There will be a strong focus on practice and applied case studies during the training.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN.
- Get famililar with environment of STATA
- Understand the syntax structure and the fundamental stata commands
- Create new variables, replace and recode values in existing variables
- Visualize data using Stata
- Handle missing data, apply variable and value labels, and work with string variables
- Compute and interpret descriptive statistics including mean, standard deviation, range, skewness, kurtosis and percentiles
- Compute and interpret, one and two-sample t tests
- Analysis of variance (ANOVA)

Master of Science in Statistics.
Both of the facilitators are statistician and research practitioner with more than 8 years as well as certified trainers. Holistic knowledge of data analysis packages like MS Excel, SPSS, E-views, R, STATA, QDA, and Nvivo , as well as questionnaire designing platforms, ODK/KOBO Collect and Survey Solution.
COST
The course fee is $50 per person (course materials, refreshment & certificate).
